The grand dining room is open for breakfast each morning. Elegant and beautiful place to nosh on some bacon :)
Crane Cottage from the outside. That's our room on the upper right corner below the little chimney. It was a true "Blue Moon" that night. The second full moon that month.
We had the beach pretty much to ourselves ... except for the gulls of course.
Relaxing on the big porch. No, that's not us. Travel back 100 years and that would be Rockefeller, or Chase or Astor or some other titan of industry sipping their brandy and watching the sunsets.
Ok, I'm a sucker for rose-shots. These little pink beauties make such a great focal point.
PSSSST .... over here! Yeah ... over here! Come to Jekyll Island. You'll love it. Just don't eat the fish. You didn't hear that from me.
This is the main building that was the clubhouse for the Rockefellers, JP Morgan, the Astors, the Pulitzers, the Chases and many other titans of their age. I'm standing on the croquet court as I take this.
